　　东方海外国际（00316）发布公告，于2025年4月29日，买方（公司的14间间接全资附属公司）分别与各建造商（南通川崎及大连川崎）就建造各自的该等船舶，按基本上相同的条款订立该等造船合约，总价格为30.8亿美元。

　　该造船交易符合集团稳步提升船队运力、实现长期均衡增长、持续推进集装箱运输业务全球化发展的长期发展战略及进一步巩固行业地位。该等船舶用途众多并适合在多种贸易航线及码头作业。随着该等船舶加入集团的船队，集团将在其全球服务网络中实现更均衡的发展并提升其在传统及新兴市场的核心竞争力。建造该等船舶将有助集团优化其船队结构，以及该等船舶可用于逐步替换集团的老旧船舶。再者，该等船舶将配备绿色动力燃料技术（如甲醇双燃料发动机），将体现集团对全球节能及减少碳排放的可持续发展的支持，并响应客户对零碳供应链的需求。此外，每艘船舶平均集装箱箱位的增加，在规模经济效益下，每个集装箱的成本将随之降低，从而增强集团的运营成本竞争力。
