Woodside Energy to Invest in 3-Train Louisiana LNG Development

Woodside Energy (WDS) said Tuesday that it will invest in a three-train Louisiana LNG development with an annual capacity of 16.5 million metric tons.

Total capital expenditure for the LNG project, pipeline and management reserve is forecasted at $17.5 billion, with Woodside's share at $11.8 billion, according to the company.

Woodside expects the first LNG in 2029.

The company said the development can be expanded to add two more LNG trains and is fully permitted for a total capacity of 27.6 million metric tons per annum.
