BlockBeats 消息，4 月 30 日，印度卡纳塔克邦高等法院已下令封禁加密邮件服务 Proton Mail。法院援引《2008 年信息技术法案》，要求政府“立即封禁”与 Proton Mail 相关的域名。此举源于一家新德里设计公司于今年 1 月提出的投诉，称其员工通过该服务收到冒犯性邮件。
值得注意的是，2024 年 3 月印度当局曾因“虚假炸弹威胁”提议封禁该服务，但该服务之后仍在印度继续运营。此外，Proton AG（该平台的瑞士母公司）曾在 2024 年向西班牙当局提供了一名用户的信息，引发隐私倡导者对该中心化服务数据安全性的质疑。
