Health care stocks gained premarket Friday as the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose by 0.8% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) was recently up 1.5%.
BrightSpring Health Services (BTSG) shares rose past 8% after the company reported higher Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue and raised its 2025 revenue outlook.
Cigna Group (CI) shares were up over 2% after the company reported higher Q1 adjusted income from operations and revenue. The company also raised its 2025 guidance for adjusted income per share.
Genmab (GMAB) shares were over 3% higher after the company said it plans to submit a supplemental biologics license application in H1 to the US Food and Drug Administration for epcoritamab in combination with rituximab and lenalidomide for patients with relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma.
