Murphy USA hiked its quarterly dividend 2% to 50 cents per share from 49 cents.
The increase was approved by the board of directors, the company said Thursday. The new payout, equal to $2 on an annual basis, represents a dividend yield of 0.4% based on the latest closing share price of $498.51.
Murphy USA, a retailer of gasoline and convenience merchandise with more than 1,750 stores nationwide, boosted its dividend in February to 49 cents per share from 48 cents.
The new dividend is payable on June 2 to stockholders of record as of May 12.
