EBay CEO Sees Product Pivot Paying Off -- Market Talk

1124 ET - Amid an uncertain macro and trade environment, eBay CEO Jamie Iannone says the company's pivot five years ago to non-new, in season products sets the platform up for resilience. Iannone says on a call with analysts that the company isn't immune to consumers' smaller discretionary budgets, but it is advantaged because of its used and refurbished inventory. Consumers tend to come to eBay when they're looking for value, he says. Over 40% of goods on the platform are used to refurbish, and that business is growing meaningfully faster than its new goods segment, he says.(kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
