1738 ET - Applovin's 2Q outlook calls for advertising revenue to grow 3.4% to 5.2% sequentially, marking a slowdown from the 16% sequential growth the unit logged in the recent quarter. CEO Adam Foroughi attributes this slowdown largely to seasonality. "Our seasons are tied to time spent on mobile devices," he says on a call with analysts, noting that 1Q benefits from the winter holidays, Ramadan and Spring Break. "In 2Q, you actually don't have almost anything, as only the tail end gets in the summer," Foroughi says, adding that he expects an uptick in sequential growth in both 3Q and 4Q. Shares rise 14% after hours. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
