WA1 Resources (ASX:WA1) said that assay results received from resource definition drilling at its West Arunta project in Western Australia supported a potential for high-grade niobium mineralization at the project, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The drilling encountered significant intercepts, including 30.6 meters at 2.6% grade of niobium oxide from 78.8 meters, as well as 36.4 meters at 4.9% grade of niobium oxide from 50 meters.

The project's high-grade multi-commodity potential was demonstrated at the Luni area with an intercept of 11.3 meters at 4.0% grade of total rare earth oxides from 60.3 meters.

The assay results from drilling in 2024 have been received, and they will be used for an updated mineral resource estimate expected to be completed in June.
