Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) said ore processing has begun for the second processing campaign under the agreement with Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD), according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Brightstar delivered 55,000 tonnes at a grade of over 2 grams per tonne of gold to Genesis' Laverton mill, with ore sourced from the high-grade Second Fortune underground mine and existing lower-grade stockpiles from Brightstar's Laverton hub.
Mining continues at the Fish underground mine, with the first ore expected in June.
Brightstar will deliver, sell, and process up to 500,000 tonnes of ore through the Laverton mill from its Laverton hub starting this year and into the first quarter of 2026, per the agreement.
Its shares jumped 9% in recent trading on Thursday.
