美的集团(00300.HK) 董事长方洪波指，小米(01810.HK) 总裁卢伟冰曾到集团演讲，指小米3年内手机销量要成为世界第一、汽车10年内要成为世界前五、大家电3年内要成为中国龙头(前三)。方洪波表示，美的集团所有的领域小米都进入了，但战略上并不害怕小米进入市场。他认为很长一段时间，家电行业的格局有点固化，大家甘于现有格局，相安无事，而小米进来对家电行业是好事。集团要以积极的心态应对，他指“刚做了三份研究小米报告，加起来也有十几万字，一路不断地在学习它。 ”
方洪波又提到，不断也有汽车企业找他们想合作做汽车，但他认为美的没有这个能力。美的集团早前公布的2024年年报显示，已彻底清仓其手中持有的逾9亿元人民币(下同)小米集团股票，合计套现近20亿元。
