HSBC (HKG:0005) repurchased 4,211,613 shares on Tuesday, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The lender repurchased 716,413 shares in the UK at a volume-weighted average price of 8.6903 pounds sterling apiece and 3,495,200 shares in Hong Kong for HK$92.6876 per share.
HSBC has so far repurchased 97,795,085 shares for a little over $11.3 billion since the current buyback program began May 6.
Following the cancellation of shares repurchased in the UK, the firm has 17,579,718,652 ordinary shares in issue.
