0958 ET - United Airlines and JetBlue Airways both benefit from their partnership given the complementary nature of their respective footprints, UBS' Thomas Wadewitz says in a research note. The arrangement will allow the airlines' customers to earn and spend frequent-flier miles on both airlines, among other benefits. The analyst says the biggest positive for JetBlue would be getting access to United's vast network, which could make its loyalty program more attractive as its customers could potentially use points from the program to fly United to markets not currently served by JetBlue. United gets a lift from its presence in JFK with seven round-trip slots beginning 2027, plus other hubs it doesn't currently have a strong footprint, adds Wadewitz.
