CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. and Microsoft have entered a new partnership to streamline the identification and tracking of cyber threat actors across the cybersecurity industry. By mapping threat actor aliases and aligning adversary attribution across their platforms, the collaboration aims to reduce confusion from inconsistent naming systems and enhance the response capabilities of cyber defenders. This joint effort has already resolved more than 80 adversary aliases, confirming the identities of Chinese and Russian state-sponsored threat actors. Moving forward, CrowdStrike and Microsoft plan to expand this initiative by inviting other partners to contribute to a shared threat actor mapping resource, further strengthening global cyberdefense.
