Speedometer 3是一款由多家科技巨头共同开发的基准测试工具，旨在衡量浏览器的网页响应速度。谷歌通过一系列优化措施，使得Chrome浏览器的性能在过去一年中提升了10%，为用户带来了更加流畅的浏览体验。

谷歌团队对Chrome浏览器的内部数据结构进行了深度优化，特别是在内存布局方面。通过保持与访问模式相关的状态，Chrome浏览器避免了在系统内存上产生大量无用的开销，从而提高了CPU缓存的利用率。此外，谷歌还扩展了Oilpan垃圾回收机制的使用范围，进一步加快了受影响区域的运行速度。
