Xcel Energy Inc. has appointed Ryan Long as the new executive vice president and chief legal and compliance officer. Long, previously the president of Xcel Energy's operations in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, will oversee the company's legal, compliance, and federal affairs teams. This appointment follows Rob Berntsen's departure from the company. Long will also continue managing the Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota operations until a new president is appointed.
