0318 GMT - Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has struggled to open a line of communication with President Trump despite pressing issues like rising defense spending and the future of a nuclear-powered submarine deal. Brent Buchanan, a former Trump pollster, tells Sky News that Trump doesn't like Australia's ambassador in Washington, Kevin Rudd. Australia, a key ally for the U.S., is also facing a hit from higher U.S. tariffs. (james.glynn@wsj.com; @JamesGlynnWSJ)
