Elegance Optical International Holdings Ltd. has announced its audited financial results for the year ended 31 March 2025. The company reported a significant decrease in revenue, down 39.7% to HK$14.457 million from HK$23.989 million in 2024. The gross profit also saw a substantial drop, declining from HK$4.874 million to HK$1.034 million year-on-year. The Group recorded a loss before tax of HK$35.532 million, improving from the previous year's loss of HK$59.359 million. The income tax credit for the year stood at HK$15.327 million, which contributed to narrowing the overall loss. Segment-wise, revenue from the trading of optical frames and sunglasses fell to HK$9 million from HK$12.9 million in the prior year, with the segment loss increasing to HK$9.8 million from HK$7.5 million. The film investment and distribution segment saw a revenue decline to HK$4.5 million from HK$9.7 million, though the segment loss narrowed to HK$3.3 million from HK$4.3 million, owing to a reduction in impairment loss on investment in associates. The company's business operations encompass five segments, including trading of optical frames and sunglasses, film investment and distribution, property investment, debts and securities investment, and energy business. The overall financial performance reflects challenges in revenue generation across various segments, with notable reductions in trading and film investment revenues.
