智通财经APP获悉，特拉华州最高法院周四的裁决支持葛兰素史克(GSK.US)、辉瑞(PFE.US)和勃林格殷格翰等公司，驳回专家证词的合法性，这些证词认为胃灼热药物Zantac与数万起癌症病例存在关联。
特拉华州最高法院支持这些公司的观点，即高等法院法官Vivian Medinilla错误地接受了相关证词并允许近75,000名患者的索赔进入审理程序。
根据特拉华州最高法院的裁决，这些案件将被发回初审法院，以便对专家证词进行审查。
Medinilla法官在2024 年支持了原告的专家证词，指出该证词恰当地审查了有关Zantac可能导致十种癌症的证据。制药公司随后对Medinilla的裁决提出了上诉。
自1983年在美国获得批准以来，Zantac一直由多家制药商生产。但由于担心该药物与潜在的人类致癌物N-二甲基亚硝胺 (NDMA) 有关，Zantac于2020年退出市场。
自那时起，Zantac的制造商面临数万起癌症诉讼，这些诉讼声称该药物的主要活性成分雷尼替丁在不能保持适宜温度的情况下会变成致癌物。
