Odaily星球日报讯 美国财政部长贝森特建议，美联储主席鲍威尔在 2026 年 5 月其主席任期结束时，应从美联储理事会卸任。贝森特周二表示：“按照传统，美联储主席在卸任时也会同时辞去理事一职。此前有很多关于‘影子美联储主席’的讨论，称其会在正式提名前造成混乱。我可以明确说，若前美联储主席继续留任理事会，对市场而言可能会非常混乱。”鲍威尔的美联储理事任期要到 2028 年 1 月才结束，这意味着即便明年 5 月他的主席任期结束，仍有可能留在美联储，并参与货币政策制定。对于是否会继续担任理事，鲍威尔一再回避回应。这种沉默让特朗普总统及其助手在明年调整美联储领导层时的决策变得复杂。贝森特还称：“关于确定下一任美联储主席提名的正式流程已经启动，美联储内部和外部都有很多优秀的候选人。” （金十）
