AtlasEdge, a subsidiary of Liberty Global Ltd., has expanded its presence in Germany with the opening of a new data centre in Stuttgart, named STR001. This state-of-the-art facility, located in Böblingen within the Stuttgart metropolitan area, marks the completion of the first phase of a project offering 10,000m² of space and 20MW of power. The data centre, powered entirely by renewable energy, aims to meet the increasing demand for scalable colocation options and connectivity in one of Germany's key economic hubs. With this addition, AtlasEdge now operates eight data centres in Germany, reinforcing its focus on the DACH region as a critical area for digital growth. CEO Tesh Durvasula highlighted this opening as a significant step in the company's strategy to invest in Europe's next wave of data centre markets.
