Meta Platforms周五宣布，将自今年10月初起在欧盟地区停止发布政治、选举和社会议题相关广告，理由是欧盟即将生效的新规带来“法律不确定性”。欧盟《政治广告透明度与定向法案》（TTPA）将于2025年10月10日起正式生效，新规要求科技公司必须在平台上明确标注政治广告，包括广告出资方、所涉金额及目标选举信息，违者将面临高达其年度全球营业额6%的罚款。Meta认为，欧盟这一规定最终将损害欧洲用户的利益。目前，Meta旗下Facebook与Instagram正受道欧盟委员会调查，原因是在2024年欧洲议会选举前未能有效打击虚假信息与误导性广告。
