MGIC Investment Increases Dividend by 15%

MGIC Investment raised its quarterly dividend to 15 cents a share from 13 cents.

The new payout, equal to 60 cents a year, represents an annual yield of about 2.3% based on Wednesday's closing price of $25.74.

The Milwaukee provider of mortgage insurance said Thursday that the higher dividend will be paid on Aug. 21 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 7.

MGIC last increased its quarterly dividend about a year ago.
