** Co beats Q2 sales and profit estimates, driven by demand during Easter for its confectionery goods and salty snacks
** Q2 net sales of $2.61 billion beat estimates of $2.52 billion, while adjusted EPS $1.21 vs. estimates of 99 cents- data compiled by LSEG.
** HSY also expects tariff expenses between $170 million and $180 million for the full year. It had expected tariff costs to be about $15 million to $20 million in the reported quarter earlier
** Peer Mondelez MDLZ.O also beat estimates for second-quarter revenue and profit after market close on Tuesday; MDLZ down 1.7% premarket after it maintained its annual forecasts despite beating quarterly estimates
** Up to last close, HSY had risen ~10%, MDLZ up ~17% YTD
