Kyocera Profit Up 0.9% in Fiscal Q1

Kyocera (TYO:6971) profit attributable to owners of the parent edged up 0.9% to 37.1 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter, from 36.8 billion yen a year earlier.

The ceramics and electronics manufacturer's basic earnings per share rose to 26.37 yen from 26.12 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.

Sales revenue slipped 4.2% to about 478 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 498.9 billion yen.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, Kyocera expects an attributable profit of 70.5 billion yen, basic EPS of 50.04 yen and net sales of 1.900 trillion yen.

The company forecasts maintaining its annual dividend at 50.00 yen per share for the year.
