智通财经APP获悉，微软(MSFT.US)正在将Copilot AI助手更深入地嵌入到其浏览器中，寄望用户在处理信息和浏览网页时会发现该服务很有帮助。微软于周一宣布了适用于Microsoft Edge浏览器的全新Copilot模式，该公司称其为一项实验。启用该功能后，打开新的浏览器标签页即可将微软的AI助手和网页搜索功能整合到一个文本框中。
Copilot将能够跨浏览器标签读取信息。该软件能够响应语音指令，还可以从网页中提取信息，包括跳过广告。
这一举措是更广泛转变的一部分，AI工具正在取代传统的网络功能。聊天机器人已经成为网络搜索的替代品，许多技术专家表示，这类产品可能会取代浏览器，成为一些人浏览互联网的默认方式。
Alphabet(GOOGL.US)旗下的谷歌也致力于将其Gemini 助手嵌入到Chrome 浏览器。今年早些时候，该公司在网络搜索中添加了所谓的“AI模式”。
微软负责Edge产品开发的副总裁 Sean Lyndersay 在一篇博客文章中表示：“我们正在见证与网络互动方式的转折点。”
此前，Edge 用户可以通过点击浏览器顶部的粉蓝色漩涡标志来调出功能受限的Copilot 模式。新的Copilot模式需要用户自行选择加入。该模式可在Edge浏览器设置中关闭。
