Berkshire Hathaway $(BRK.B)$: Warren Buffett's conglomerate posted a 4% drop in quarterly earnings, as its insurance business weakened. Buffett is set to cede his role as chief executive to Greg Abe.
Boeing (BA): The aerospace company's defense workers are set to strike at midnight Monday after rejecting their latest contract offer. A stoppage could threaten Boeing's fragile turnaround effort.
CommScope $(COMM.UK)$: Connecticut-based Amphenol $(APH.UK)$ is nearing a deal to buy the infrastructure provider's broadband connectivity and cable unit, The Wall Street Journal reported. CommScope shares surged over 40% in premarket trading.
Tyson Foods $(TSN.AU)$; Wayfair (W); ON Semiconductor (ON): The meatpacker, the online furniture retailer and the maker of power chips and sensors are all due to post results this morning. Onsemi shares fell 3% ahead of the bell.
Palantir (PLTR): Earnings from the data-software company will be in focus after the close. Palantir's shares, which have more than doubled this year, gained premarket.
Amazon $(AMZN.UK)$: Shares advanced 1.8% premarket, with other big tech stocks also recovering some of Friday's steep losses. Amazon shed 8% last session, after its earnings highlighted disappointing cloud-computing growth.
