路透墨尔本8月5日 - 澳洲资源部长Madeleine King表示，澳洲正在考虑设定价格下限以支持包括稀土在内的关键矿产项目。这番言论导致澳洲稀土矿股应声跳涨。
针对中国在汽车和国防等领域矿产供应的主导地位，澳洲一直谋求将自己打造成替代供应国。
但稀土等一些金属的价格长期低迷，导致西方国家难以投资加工产能，这意味着中国仍是世界上的主要供应国。
“定价的确定性意味着企业和投资者面临的市场和价格波动风险下降，这些市场和价格往往是不透明的，容易受到操控。”
她说，澳洲建立战略储备的政策旨在为重稀土等新兴关键矿产项目提供价格确定性，并表示目前正在积极研究适当的价格下限机制。(完)
