Dole posted a smaller profit despite an uptick in revenue in its latest quarter.
The Dublin-based agricultural company logged net income of $10 million, or 10 cents a share, for the second quarter, compared with $80.1 million, or 85 cents a share, in the prior-year period.
Dole said the bottom-line decrease was primarily due to a loss in its fresh vegetables division.
Stripping out certain one-time items, earnings came in at 56 cents a share.
Revenue rose to $2.43 billion from $2.12 billion.
Dole said it's now targeting full year adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in the range of $380 million to $390 million.
