降利率+提效率!对冲大鳄阿克曼力推房利美(FNMA.US)和房地美(FMCC.US)合并

智通财经APP获悉,知名对冲基金经理比尔·阿克曼上周日通过社交媒体X发表建议,主张将美国政府资助企业房利美(FNMA.US)和房地美(FMCC.US)合并。这位潘兴广场资本管理公司创始人表示,此项合并将有助于降低抵押贷款利率,并在运营效率与股价表现方面产生巨大协同效应。

上周五,一位美国政府高级官员表示,特朗普政府正考虑推动房利美与房地美于今年下半年进行首次公开募股(IPO)。这位官员透露,两家公司合并估值可能接近5000亿美元。

作为持有“两房”股份逾十年的长期投资者,阿克曼强调合并还将显著降低政府监管成本与风险。合并后实体将由美国联邦住房金融局实施单一监管,可大幅简化监管流程。

据了解,房利美与房地美由美国国会创立,旨在通过保障可负担的抵押贷款融资来支持住房市场,但在金融危机中遭受重创后陷入困境。
