Tesla (TSLA) posted a job opening in its Autopilot operations on Wednesday, saying it is looking for a prototype vehicle operator in Flushing, New York, to collect audio and camera data for testing and training purposes.
The role involves driving an engineering vehicle for five to eight hours a day, starting and stopping recording devices, and performing minor debugging, the company said.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license, strong attention to detail, familiarity with driver assistance and autonomous driving systems, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, Tesla said.
In addition, the company said the position offers pay ranging from $25.25 to $30.60 per hour, depending on experience, plus benefits and potential cash and stock awards.
