Market Chatter: Amazon Probing Allegedly Expensive Repair Bills for Delivery Vans

Amazon (AMZN) is investigating allegedly expensive repair bills for its aging delivery vans that are used by small businesses to deliver packages, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.

The small businesses that use the vans to move packages said they can't afford repair bills that can total $20,000 or more, according to the report.

Several contract firms known as delivery service partners relayed the same account of such repair bills, Bloomberg reported, citing interviews with the firms.

Amazon asked delivery partners to submit van repair-related disputes by September, the report said.

The company didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
