Holista Colltech (ASX:HCT) said it has submitted a report with the Royal Malaysian Police regarding counterfeit versions of its PRISTIN brand Omega-3 fish oil supplement that were sold on popular e-commerce platforms Lazada and Shopee, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company said it obtained samples of the counterfeit product, which an independent laboratory tested, and the tests showed that they were made from palm oil and not from fish-derived Omega-3.

The company said it plans to engage relevant regulators and pharmaceutical chains in Malaysia, as well as with the Malaysian Dietary Supplement Association and the Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia, to allay concerns of customers and consumer groups.
