The Federal Court of Australia has ordered Qantas Airways (ASX:QAN) to notify affected passengers of their right to opt out of proceedings that alleged the airline enjoyed significant financial benefits at its customers' expense, according to a Thursday ruling by the Court.

The class action alleged that the customers were entitled to a full cash refund for cancelled refunds but received travel credits or vouchers with lower values instead.

The Court set April 24, 2026, as the last day to opt out of the case.
