智通财经APP获悉，援引知情人士消息，加拿大蒙特利尔银行(BMO.US)近期已启动出售部分美国分行的程序，这些分行共持有约60亿美元存款。此外，该分行除存款外，还可能包含贷款资产。
该行正在评估出售其希望退出的部分地区分支机构，并已考虑从怀俄明州和达科他州等州撤出，相关分支机构可能采取整体出售或分批出售的方式推进。需注意的是，这一计划目前尚未最终确定，存在无法达成交易的可能性。
对此，蒙特利尔银行方面拒绝回应相关置评请求。
回溯2023年，蒙特利尔银行完成了对法国巴黎银行美国子公司西岸银行的收购，交易金额达163亿美元，成为该行史上规模最大的一笔交易。
通过此项收购，该行在美国中西部和西部地区拥有了近200万名客户、约500家零售分行以及商业和财富管理机构。
从行业背景看，随着客户日益转向网上银行和手机银行服务，贷款机构在完成重大收购后，常通过出售或关闭重叠网点的方式优化资源配置。
