Stitch Fix Seen With Sequential Improvement -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

1343 ET - Stitch Fix continues to show fundamental improvements in its business each quarter as it runs the platform more like a traditional apparel retailer, William Blair analysts say in a note. The company is taking a balanced approach to customer quality, profitability and capacity to reinvest in experience, including a growing roster of higher-visibility national brands, the analysts say. Such an approach has led to ongoing improvement in 90-day lifetime values, as well as accelerated revenue growth, when accounting for an extra week of sales in the year-ago period, they say. "This will lead to more profitable, more controllable growth from here," they say, noting the company's earnings outlook appears conservative.(kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
