Intel $(INTC)$: Shares in the ailing chip maker jumped in premarket trading after a media report said it had approached Apple $(AAPL)$ for investment. Earlier this month, Nvidia said it would invest $5 billion in Intel.
Oracle $(ORCL)$: The company sold $18 billion of investment-grade bonds on Wednesday to finance its artificial-intelligence buildout. Shares retreated premarket. The fundraising effort followed a $300 billion contract signed with OpenAI this month.
Hertz Global $(HTZ)$: A subsidiary of the car-rental company said it planned to sell $250 million of exchangeable senior notes. Shares jumped 9% premarket.
Lithium Americas (LAC): The miner is in talks with the Energy Department and GM $(GM)$ over the terms of a government loan for a lithium project in Nevada. A media report suggested the government might take a stake in the miner. The stock rallied premarket, having roughly doubled on Wednesday.
UniQure $(QURE)$: The gene-therapy company reported positive study results for a treatment of Huntington's disease. Shares extended gains ahead of the open, after surging nearly 250% Wednesday.
Costco Wholesale $(COST)$: The warehouse chain is set to report quarterly earnings after market close on Thursday. Recent monthly reports show sales gains. Shares edged up premarket.
H&M (SE:HM.B): Hennes & Mauritz reported stronger-than-expected quarterly earnings. Shares of the fast-fashion retailer rose more than 8% in Sweden.
