USA Rare Earth (USAR) rose 12% after Chief Executive Officer Barbara Humpton told CNBC that the company is in "close communication" with the White House. Humpton said it also supports the Trump administration's efforts to bolster domestic rare earth production, including deals with MP Materials and Lithium Americas.

More than 33.8 million shares traded intraday, compared with a daily average of about 6.53 million.

Alto Neuroscience (ANRO) said Friday the US Food and Drug Administration has granted fast-track designation to ALTO-101 for the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia.

Shares soared 52% as intraday trading volume catapulted to over 46.3 million from a daily average of about 100,000.

CCH Holdings (CCHH) shares rose in their trading on Nasdaq after the Malaysia-based hotpot restaurant chain priced its initial public offering of 1.25 million shares at $4 each.

The shares were up over 11% in recent trading.
