Savannah Goldfields (ASX:SVG) said that the mineral resource for the Jubilee Plunger deposit, part of its Georgetown project in Queensland, is 296,000 tonnes at 2.1 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold and 17 g/t grade of silver, containing 20,000 ounces of gold, a 220% increase in total contained gold from the February 2022 mineral resource, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
Of the total, the indicated category includes 98,000 tonnes at 2.4 g/t grade of gold and 16 g/t grade of silver, containing 8,000 ounces of gold, the filing said. The inferred category consists of 198,000 tonnes at 2 g/t grade of gold and 17 g/t grade of silver, containing 12,000 ounces of gold.
The combined mineral resource at the Georgetown projects is 1.2 million tonnes at 3.5 g/t grade of gold, containing 131,000 ounces of gold, per the filing.
The company's shares jumped almost 4% in recent Friday trade.
