ChainCatcher 消息，据彭博社报道，年仅 27 岁的预测市场平台 Polymarket 创始人 Shayne Coplan 在获得纽约证券交易平台母公司洲际交易平台集团（ICE）最高 20 亿美元投资后，以 80 亿美元融资前估值跻身亿万富翁行列，成为彭博亿万富翁指数追踪的最年轻白手起家亿万富翁。
Coplan 曾因资金紧张而出售公寓物品以换取房租。2019 年，他受经济学家 Robin Hanson 预测市场理论启发，在自己浴室内开始搭建 Polymarket，并于 2020 年 6 月正式上线。尽管公司早期因未注册交易平台而遭监管限制、甚至被 FBI 搜查，但凭借预测市场的火爆增长，Polymarket 现已吸引华尔街巨头入局。
