Pacific Biosciences Says HiFi Technology Selected for South Korean Pangenome Project

Pacific Biosciences of California (PACB) said Monday that its HiFi sequencing technology has been selected as the primary platform for South Korea's pangenome reference project.
The company said it will provide integrated sequencing services across the workflow under the project, an initiative led by Korea National Institute of Health to sequence more than 1,000 Korean genomes for global reference standards.
The project is expected to advance disease research and support precision diagnostics and therapies, according to the company.
Shares of the company were up more than 4% in recent Monday trading.
