智通财经APP讯，南方通信(01617)公布，公司通过翻新及重建公司位于中国江苏省常州市的前厂房用地，发展南方科技生态产业园。该集团预期将投资人民币5千万元于建议重建项目。
董事会认为，建议重建项目与集团长远发展目标及业务策略一致。
于营运及管理层面上，董事会认为，分散在两个厂区的产能集中到一起，可以实现生产的规模化、集约化。采购、物流、管理成本都会因规模效应而下降，令管理团队更为集中，从而增强生产效率及灵活度，为集团日后产品投入大规模密集生产作好准备。
另外，此举亦是集团降低整体营运成本并创造新现金流的良机。将老旧工厂的用地转化为现代化产业园，可大幅减少维护陈旧或过时设备及设施所产生的维修开支。集团亦将考虑出租及╱或出售产业园内的物业，从而为集团开拓新的收入来源。
董事会认为，建议重建项目乃提升集团形象及推动其业务策略持续取得突破的重要契机。预期建议重建项目将吸引精英及高素质人才加入集团，协助拓展其业务。
