　　根据数字新闻网站佛罗里达之声（Florida‘s Voice ）助理主编埃里克·多尔蒂（Eric Daugherty）周四在X上分享的一篇帖子，艾萨克曼最近几周与特朗普多次会面。

　　彭博社周四也报道了艾萨克曼申请NASA局长一职的消息，该报道还称，诺斯罗普格鲁曼公司的高管、退休的美国空军中将约瑟夫·瓜斯泰拉（Joseph Guastella）也被考虑担任该职位。

　　报道称，瓜斯泰拉与特朗普的亲密盟友丹·“拉辛”·凯恩将军关系密切。两位候选人都会见了美国交通部长肖恩·达菲，后者于7月被特朗普任命为NASA临时局长。

　　艾萨克曼的提名可能预示着NASA将采取更加以火星为中心的路线。艾萨克曼早些时候重申了人类火星任务的重要性。“我们将优先把美国宇航员送上火星，”艾萨克曼在今年早些时候的参议院听证会上说。

　　有趣的是，马斯克最近表示，要实现殖民火星的计划，需要将10万人和100万吨货物运送到这颗红色星球。马斯克将SpaceX的星舰飞船吹捧为实现这一野心的关键因素。
