Bank CIMB Niaga (IDX:BNGA), a unit of CIMB Group (KLSE:CIMB), booked consolidated net profit in the first half of 6.7 trillion Indonesian rupiahs, up 1.7% annually, with earnings per share of 209.57 rupiahs, according to a Thursday Taiwan bourse filing.
The company's President Director, Niaga Lani Darmawan, attributed the expansion to the "healthy loan growth and strong Current Account Savings Account (CASA) momentum".
The Indonesian lender's total assets stood at 369.5 trillion rupiahs as of Sept. 30, while total deposits reached 278 trillion rupiahs.
The bank's total loans rose 6.6% to 249.8 trillion rupiahs, contributed mainly by 7.7% annual growth of current account and savings account (CASA) to 162.9 trillion rupiah, the filing added.
