Energy Up Amid Strong Earnings -- Energy Roundup

Shares of energy companies rose amid generally strong earnings.

Exxon Mobil shares rose slightly after the largest U.S. oil producer by revenue said increased production at two major oilfields offset lower oil prices.

Chevron rose after the second largest U.S. oil producer weathered the drop in oil prices better than analysts had anticipated.

U.S. natural gas futures rose for a third straight session to end the week and month higher.
