5E Advanced Metals Increases Mineral Resource Estimate at California Project; Shares Rise 13%

5E Advanced Metals (ASX:5EA) has increased its resources at its Fort Cady project in California to 204.8 million short tons, from the 135.8 million short tons during the pre-feasibility study, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Total measured mineral resources of boric acid increased to 9.1 million tonnes with an 8.34% grade of boron trioxide, from 3.3 million tonnes, the filing said.

Total measured and indicated mineral resources of lithium carbonate equivalent increased to 328,000 tonnes with a 0.17% grade of lithium carbonate equivalent, from 218,000 tonnes, the filing added.

The increase shows an implied resource life of 217 years, the company said.

Shares of the company rose 13% in recent Thursday trade.
