波士顿联邦储备银行行长Susan Collins表示，由于通胀可能在一段时间内保持高位，维持利率不变“目前合适”。

　　她还表示，劳动力市场似乎在降温，但速度并不快。

　　“如果我看到劳动力市场出现明显恶化的迹象，我会非常重视，这当然可能成为短期进一步放松的理由，”Collins在波士顿联储年度经济会议期间接受彭博Odd Lots播客采访时表示。“我们尚未看到失业率大幅变化。”

　　她指出，美联储当前的政策设定是“平衡劳动力市场方面的风险与通胀相关的持续风险”。

　　Collins是越来越多对继续降息持谨慎态度的美联储官员之一，因为通胀率仍然比美联储2%的目标高出一个百分点。美联储10月会议纪要显示，许多美联储官员认为，在2025年剩余时间内维持利率不变“可能是合适之举”。

　　Collins周五接受采访时表示，9月就业数据的发布并未显著改变她对劳动力市场的看法，因为大部分增长集中在医疗保健和休闲等行业。

　　“我确实认为目前温和限制性的政策非常合适，这也使我在展望下一步政策行动时有所犹豫，”她说。
