Communications Services Up on Deal Speculation - Communications Services Roundup

Communications-services companies rose amid ongoing deal speculation.

Warner Bros Discovery added more than 3%, bringing its market capitalization to roughly $57 billion after it reportedly solicited a second round of higher bids from the companies that recently participated in the first round.

Paramount Skydance, Comcast and Netflix recently submitted bids for all or part of the Hollywood studio and streaming service.

Italy's competition regulator has broadened the scope of an investigation into WhatsApp-owner Meta Platforms over the social media giant's artificial intelligence chatbot policy, which excluded some rival chatbots from its platform.
