12月1日，清远市自然资源局发布了《清远北江中心改造装修工程项目建设工程（含临时建设）规划许可证批前公示》（简称《规划》），根据《规划》，北江中心将被改造成集旅游服务、商业餐饮、商务会议接待于一体的综合体。

北江中心位于清城区伦洲大桥西侧，项目总占地面积约12.8亩，总建筑面积约15000平方米。建筑规划为地下一层、地上三层。

根据中标公司广东创和建筑工程有限公司此前发布消息，清远北江中心改造装修工程项目总投资3000多万元。建设规模及主要内容包括：

• 地下1层车库功能改为商业用途，利用原架空层增加室内商业面积进行部分室内精装修并按照规划要求增加警务房。

• 地上1层原功能为游客服务大厅，现进行改造装修，改造装修后具体功能为游客服务中心、贵宾接待厅、多功能会议厅等。

• 地上 2、3 层原使用功能为游客集散中心及办公，现进行改造装修，使用功能为餐饮等商业。

• 3层露台增设精神堡垒（艺术雕塑），满足“清远第一站”建筑形象和文化需求。
