BlockBeats 消息，12 月 18 日，以太坊网络交易吞吐量将于下个月再次提升，开发者计划在 1 月将以太坊的 gas 上限从 6000 万提高至 8000 万。然而，以太坊基金会开发者运营工程师 Barnabas Busa 指出，在再次提高区块 gas 上限之前，需要完成两项客户端层面的优化，即执行层的部分 Blob 响应以及共识层的最大 Blob 标志设置。
全体以太坊核心开发者会议参与者将于 1 月 5 日再次集会，确认在第二次 BPO 硬分叉后何时提高 gas 上限。第一次 BPO 硬分叉于 12 月 9 日进行，将 blob 容量提高了 66%；预计 1 月 7 日进行的第二次硬分叉将再提高 66%。以太坊开发者与研究社区成员已达成共识，目标是在 2026 年底前将网络的 gas 上限提高至 1.8 亿。（Cointelegraph）
