VA Tech Wabag Secures New Contract for New Sewage Treatment Plant in Saudi Arabia

Water and wastewater treatment services company VA Tech Wabag (NSE:WABAG, BOM:533269) has been selected as the preferred engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner for the Hadda Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (Hadda ISTP) Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

The company has been mandated by a Developer Consortium, comprising Metito Utilities, Etihad Water and Electricity Company, and SkyBridge, which was declared the preferred bidder by the Saudi Water Partnership

The EPC scope includes the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of the treatment facilities, which include a sewage treatment plant, an advanced treated sewage effluent reuse system, a large storage tank, and a transmission pipeline with a throughput capacity of 350,000 m³/day.
